Dvash is your daily dose of Hebrew news. Every weekday, you get new articles to read, listen to, and learn from. The texts are short and easy to understand, and cover real news of the day. You can also choose the difficulty level that suits you best.
Hebrew news with training wheels
Every word and sentence in Dvash is clickable, and you can see the translation and pronunciation. You can also listen to the text being read out loud. This way, you can learn new words and phrases in context.
Read with or without nikud
You can choose to read the text with or without Nikud. While Nikud can be helpful in the begining, it is not used in everyday news. Being able to switch back and forth allows you to gradually get used to both variants of Hebrew writing.
Quizzes and vocabulary review
Words that you look up while reading are automatically added to your vocabulary. We keep track of your words and remind you to review them on a regular basis (in a Spaced Repetition system). That way, you can reinforce what you have learned and make it stick.
Build up your vocabulary
Over time, you will build up your personal dictionary of new words. Review your words using the Practice mode, or simply browse through them at any time.
Vibrant illustrations
Every word is illustrated, which makes learning it easier and more fun. It is also translated into a variety of languages, in a way that takes the context into account.
